2023 Mokuhanga 4 Week Basic Training Program in Nara
Artist-in-Residence – Toma House x MI-LAB
February 18th (Sat.) ~ March 19th (Sun.) 2023
Toma House AIR is thrilled to announce our first-ever open call for Mokuhanga Training Program in collaboration with MI-LAB.
This program is open to artists who want to learn the basic skills of Japanese water-based woodblock printmaking (Mokuhanga) with a Japanese instructor from MI-LAB to create woodblock prints at the studio space in Toma House. Artists will live in a shared Japanese residential house for 30 days (including your arrival/departure dates at/from the residency). This is a self-funded open-call program; the artists need to finance themselves to participate in this program.
